What's the Madder? Madder Rusty Mauve

Madder is created by grinding the roots of the Madder plant, and the roots take 3 years before you can harvest them.  I am still growing mine, so I purchase extracts for this.  

These special rosy pinkish reds are one of a kinds, since I can't yet figure out how to duplicate them.  I would recommend using them either alone or in colorwork - they are stunning!  When they are gone, they are gone.
