Logwood - Light Purple

Oh gosh, this natural dye is just exquisite!  Logwood is sourced from the heart of the Logwood tree. It's native to South America, so we don't have it here. I buy the wood and extract the dye.

Logwood can give anything from bright purples to blues to pinks.  This particular batch is absolutely stunning - a beautiful lavender purple...from wood! 

If you want a sweater quantity, I will custom dye since this is something that can vary widely between batches.

Please note that while I mordant, this dye can fade a bit to more of a gorgeous gray.  It takes a long time, or if you happen to make a blanket and leave it in a sunny window.  Honestly, it's like knitting 2 garments in one!
